Joy N. Diaz is an up and coming Lighting Designer based out of Atlanta, GA. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Clayton State University in 2017 in Performing Arts, with dual concentrations in Theatre and Technical Theatre, and a minor in Film. She earned her Master's degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2020 in Scenography Design and Technology, with a concentration in Lighting Design. She now intends to work professionally, as well as teach at the collegiate level.

In addition to theatrical performance and design, Joy has been a chorale performer for close to 20 years, and enjoys singing in ensembles. She is also an athlete, specifying in long-distance cross country running and middle distance for the last 14 years.
